About

If you've landed on this page, there's a good chance we just wrapped up a QSO. Thanks for the contact!

I really love the art and creativity that goes into making QSL cards and I'm always happy to exchange, so feel free to reach out if this interestes you too. Check out the QSL page above for details.

I'm based in Ann Arbor, Michigan (grid square EN82cg) and first got into ham radio in 2017 while studying computer science at the University of Michigan. I was working on a Mars rover project for a student competition, where we considered using amateur radio for telemetry and control. We didn't end up using it, but that's what first pulled me into the hobby. I earned my Technician license that year and later upgraded to General in 2021.

I've mostly operated on 2m/70cm FM over the years, but recently started diving into HF. I picked up a Yaesu FT-990 at Hamvention 2025 and have been running FT8 on 40m and 20m with a long wire antenna. I can sometimes be found on some of the other digital modes, like PSK and RTTY, and I'm hoping to get into packet radio at some point soon.

I've been attending Hamvention in Xenia/Dayton for around five years. I'm also into DIY electronics, and one of my side projects is a 433 MHz transceiver for integrating Home Assistant with RF-controlled devices. It's not strictly ham radio, but I'm using SDRs and a HackRF One to make it work.

Outside of ham radio, I work in automotive cybersecurity, focusing on embedded systems and PKI.

73 and hope to catch you again on the air!
